Even though these cookie cutters were named 'Ninja' they were absolutely perfect for cookies to celebrate my grandson and his mother achieving their Black Belts in Tai Kwon Do! I made them, using the recipe on the package, and also as sugar cookies. Then, I wrapped a black licorice whip around the waists, twice, tying the 'correct' square knot in the front and they were perfect. My family loved them! Admittedly, they will have infrequent use, but I'm considering Tai Kwon Do 'Santas' this Christmas! And I may lend them to other families from the Tai Kwon Do Studio!

The cutter is so thick the cookies come out in a big blob. Even when I use less dough they don't even come close to resembling the ninjas. The shapes also look so much alike you can barely tell them apart. It's a great idea for ninjas and ninja lovers! It would be awesome if they looked like a ninja instead of a giant cookie cake.

I bought this as a gift for my 14-year-old grandson so I didn't try using them, but they are very cute and the packaging is attractive. There's a recipe for gingerbread that seems to be a proper recipe, but it says things like "Quietly cream together..." and Add... with deadly accuracy." It will make a very nice gift.

We made these 2 years ago. Snuck these into our regular batch of cookies. They were a hit. Everyone wanted our ninjas! Same size as the regular sized cookie cutter cutouts. This past year we made them and my mom complained because we made so many of them that we didn't have santas, so I turned some into "Ninja Santas"! Use your imagination and you can come up with many combinations of your own ninja caracters. These are so fun everyone should have them. There are 3 to a set...as shown in the picture. Highly recommended for any age and household!

I used these with sugar cookie dough instead of the gingerbread recipe on the back (didn't have the ingredients) and they came out great! They were really easy to use and made of a heavy plastic. Once you've cut out your dough, be careful of the limbs, especially when moving the cookies before they are cooked or fully cooled, so you don't have any amputated ninjas! We lost a few in the process, but I'll be more careful next time!

Disclaimer: I rarely bake so it's not like I speak with a cookie-cutter aficionado authority. However, they are ninja cookie cutters--which makes them delightful and entertaining even without actual purchase. I got these for my 15 and 17 boys for something to do together and with MOM. They thought the ninja men were pretty cool and even made some into soccer players kicking and dribbling the ball. They made the gingerbread, cut out the ninjas, etc. I set out about five icing tubes and they hung out together, made some really cool designs, and even cleaned up. They only had to slip the cutouts in the dishwasher and tube the icing and that was it. Holiday visitors noticed the ninjas and they became a point of conversation for the next couple of visits. Big hit! Very inexpensive activity that encouraged us to spend an afternoon together.

Kids had fun making cookies for Santa. Dough should be somewhat thin so cookies don't lose their shape when they bake; but the boys didn't care about that anyway. Plastic was fine -- maybe even easier for kids to remove the dough from the cutter. They did fine in the dishwasher afterwards. Just be careful not to break them.

These cookie cutters are made from plastic, not metal. The plastic is sturdy, and because it's a little flexible it's easy to get in the grooves to clean off residual dough. We have an ongoing ninja joke at work, and everyone is going to think that these cookies are hilarious!

I love, love, love these cookie cutters! I made the ninja cookies for my sons Karate Dojo Christmas Party and they were a "BIG HIT". I made them with a sugar cookie recipe instead of gingerbread and they were great. It took a few tries to get it just right, but in the end they were very cute and very delicious. The only thing about this product that I'm not a huge fan of is that there are only 3 shapes. It would be nice to have a couple more ninja poses. But as far as performance goes they are great for all sorts of cookies.
They are large enough to use for other purposes as well. So far we have placed them on a hot skillet with pan spray and poured scrambled eggs into them and pancake batter into them. Great for kids!

Everyone I served them to, from 4 to 40 thought they were awesome. (Even the included recipe will make you laugh.) Ordered three other sets for friends, and may need to order more. Definitely a new favorite! The only word of caution: if using the enclosed recipe, you may want to adjust your baking time about 2 minutes less for a softer cookie.

Seriously, the only minor, nit-picking downside is that one of the cutter has a really narrow space in between, trapping dough with every cut. But very easy to remove, of course, and does not interfere with actual cookie at all whatsoever.

They work great. Just make sure the gingerbread dough is cold when you cut the shapes out.

The shapes work better with thin crunchy style cookies rather than thicker cookies - they tend to balloon and lose their form with thicker cookies.

At first I was worried that since they were made of plastic my 3 and 5 year olds would destroy them, but they are pretty durable and hold their shape perfectly. I used these ninja cookie cutters to make undecorated cookies for a house warming party. I set the cookies on the kitchen counter alongside a variety of icing, Red Hots, mini chocolate chips, licorice, and other things for decoration.

Everyone flocked to the cookies. What really amazed me was that even the adults wanted to participate. People had a great time decorating their cookies, and used the activity as a way to chit chat and get to know other guests.

It was definitely one of the best ice breakers ever, and I will use this idea again. I think that the silliness of the cookie form was the reason they were so loved. Had I made round cookies for decoration, I don't believe people would have been nearly as interested. With that in mind, I suggest you also consider the ABC cookie cutters (stands for Already Been Chewed). They're gingerbread men cookie cutters, but each form is missing an appendage. Would be great fun for a holiday party!

My mom saw these somewhere and asked me to order them for her Christmas present. She opened them and said "They're plastic!" - For the price it seems they would be metal. The silver plastic color is intentionally misleading, but upon review they do say they are plastic in the description. I gave these as a gift to my dad, who makes gingerbread cookies every year. This is a terrible quality product for the price! These are not metal or even heavy plastic like most other cookie cutters. Definitely not worth the money... They should lower the price by about 60%.

These are some pretty nifty cookie cutters. It's going to take me a few more tries to get the recipe down, but once I do, look out. (My first try turned out more like ninja sumos due to an excess of baking soda.) These ninjas will be magnificent once I tweak a few ingredients. I highly recommend them.

These are great - just be careful of the relative thinness of the legs and arms both when taking the unbaked cookie out of the cutter and when frosting. These are plastic, so they don't rust or have a sharp seam, so the kids were able to use them easily.

The Ninja Bread Men cookie cutters are awesome! Even the recipe for molasses ninja-bread cookies was good. Use them as cookie cutters or sandwich shapers. Your little (or big) martial artist will love you for being so original. The cookies are even cuter when decorated. They were such a big hit at my daughter's birthday party, I ordered another set for my Sensei.

I used these to make sugar cookies. The box had a recipe on it which was nice although I didn't use it. I thought the cookie cutters would be metal for some reason, but they're plastic. Which is fine, it's still sturdy plastic. They work perfectly.

Great gift idea because the packaging, wording, and decorating ideas on the box are pretty clever. These are plastic, which is fine with me because dough doesn't stick to 'em, but don't expect the "old-fashioned" metal kind.

I used these to make gingerbread, chocolate cut-out, and sugar cookies for a Halloween Party with my boyfriend's karate club. Needless to say, they were a hit (despite the fact that we lacked the time to decorate them). My boyfriend and his friends started having fake wars between the different "factions," with the other cookies occasionally joining in.

However, I was a little disappointed in the fact that they were plastic, considering how much they cost. I had hoped that they would be metal.

Honestly, the product speaks for itself. They work just like any other cookie cutter, but they are ninjas so that automatically makes them 1000% cooler. If you're thinking about buying this product, you know what I mean.

These cookie cutters are awesome. You just have to remember to roll out or cookie dough really thin. Like 1/4" thick.... I failed to do so the first time and ended up with a dozen fat swollen (granted, delicious) Ninjabread Men. They weren't overly intimidating.

Cute different cutters but don't work too well after cutting. You just have to use stiffer dough so they don't get out of shape as easy. So I'll just call that lesson learned. I used sugar cookie mix not refridgerated but I'll try ginger bread dough next and maybe throw in the fridge a while.

I had originally gotten these to give as a gift for some guys I know that are obsessed with ninjas haha but it didn't work out for me to give it to them. I just used them today and it was awesome! I loved the description on the package and the recipe it gives you is delicious!
I think I didn't give them enough time to cool down before removing them from the pan because some of them broke, but I have no complaints with the product overall!

Got this as a gift for a friend, so I can't really speak to what it looks like in person and how well it works as a cookie cutter, but I know my friend LOVED it--it's such a current and whimsical item and definitely one that I think would be fun to use.

I made Ninjabread men for snacks at a karate tournament. The kids and parents loved them. Great price. Also liked that they were plastic and not metallic - so they wont rust or get mis shapen like metal cutters can.

These cookie cutters are so cool. I found them over the summer before they were for sale. I signed up to get an e-mail reminder for when they became available, and then forgot about it. Imagine my delight when the e-mail eventually arrived! I bought the cutters right then and there.

When they arrived, I couldn't wait to test them out. I took them to the campus dining hall and stamped them into trays of barely-cooked cookie. It didn't work too well, haha.

Washing them by hand was a little difficult because of the small corners, but with enough soap and water, they get clean.

The only thing that knocked these down a star was that they're made of plastic. I expected and prefer metal.

Other than that - how can you go wrong? All my kids adored them, and the recipe that's included is not only entertaining, but turned out a nice batch of ninjabread. Even the package was clever.

They're a little plain if you don't have the icing skills to make the ninjas look authentic, but I seemed to be the only one who noticed or cared.
